2010 - formation of Victoria Mavericks College Baseball Team
In 2010 the Formation of a College Baseball Team was established by the Mavericks Baseball League, headed by Brad Franklin. The team plays in the CCBC, the Canadian College Baseball Conference, students attend the University of Victoria or Camosun College.
2012 - Formation of the Victoria Harbourcats
2013 - The West Coast League features a competitive level of play and recruits players from high-calibre baseball programs at colleges and universities across North America, 11 teams will play for the 2013 season.

The Victoria HarbourCats are Victoria’s entry in the West Coast League. The WCL is a college-level, wood bat baseball league with 11 teams from the Pacific Northwest that feature college players from across North America. The HarbourCats will begin play in early June of 2013 at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria.
